Mr. Friemann is a 30 year veteran of the insurance industry. He served as President of Friemann Christie LLC, working on strategy for insurance related organizations and risk issues for professional firms, associations and corporations He has also acted as an Expert Witness in insurance related litigation related to the underwriting of financial and operational risks. Previously, he held senior executive positions at St Paul Fire Marine Insurance Company and Reliance National where he was responsible for the development, marketing and underwriting of financial, operational and alternative risk products. From 1977 to 1997 Mr. Friemann was with the Minet organization, at that time the 8th largest insurance broker in the world. From early 1996 to the sale of Minets to Aon in 1997 he was the Chief Executive of the North American Business Unit, which included the wholesale and retail business. Prior to that he was the Chief Executive Officer of Minet Risk Services, the firms worldwide risk consulting and captive management arm which included the North American Employee Benefits and Structured Settlement Businesses. From 1977 to 1993 he was the Chief Financial Officer of Minet’s North American Retail and Wholesale operation. In this capacity he played a key role in the identification and evaluation of targets and the negotiation of terms on which several acquisitions were consummated to implement the Minet North American specialty expansion strategy. Mr. Friemann was a member of the small task force that studied the marketplace and devised the Minet Specialty strategy. During this period he also led the successful re-development of the financial, reporting and administrative infrastructure to support the substantial growth in Minets U.S.A. operations including the addition of Swett & Crawford to the Minet unit in 1989. Mr. Friemann played a major role in the integration of Bowes Holding, a large MGA and Wholesaler, with Swett & Crawford the largest such organization in the U.S.A. He continued as a key member of the Executive team that managed and developed this business and returned it to profitability. Mr. Friemann is a Canadian Chartered Accountant.
