Peter S. Christie has been an advisor to a major industry mutual over the last few years. In addition, Mr. Christie has served as an expert witness and provided general advisory services to a variety of clients. From 1997 until May 1999, he was the Vice Chairman of Aon Group Inc. of Chicago. Aon is a $7 billion revenue, global risk advisory and insurance brokerage firm. Mr. Christie joined Aon as a result of the acquisition of Minet Holdings by Aon in 1997. From 1992 until 1997 Mr. Christie was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Minet Group, which was a $340mln revenue international risk advisor and broker. Minet was a wholly owned subsidiary of the St Paul Companies. Mr. Christie was a member of the 6 person Executive Management Group at St Paul. From 1989 to 1992 Mr. Christie was in New York with responsibility for all American operations and other specialty units of the Minet Group, including Swett & Crawford, then as now the largest wholesale and MGA organization in the USA, and Minet International Professional Indemnity (MIPI). Mr. Christie began his career with Minet in Canada in 1968. In 1980 he became a Director of the parent company, Minet Holdings plc, which was publicly quoted on the London Stock Exchange. Mr. Christie is also a Director of IPC Holdings Ltd (NASDQ IPCR).
